Rotman Faculty Member Named as one of the Top 40 Best B-School Professors.

Toronto – A professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management has been named as one of the 40 Best B-School Professors Under 40 for 2015 by the business education website Poets&Quants.

Sanford DeVoe is an associate professor of organizational behaviour and human resource management at the Rotman School.

The Poets&Quants’ “Top 40 Under 40″ recognizes young faculty members, who represent elite schools from around the world who excel in research while also succeeding in the classroom.

Prof. DeVoe, who has been at the Rotman School since 2007, received his BA in Psychology from Swarthmore College and his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Stanford Graduate School Business. His research is focused on the psychological dimensions of incentives within organizations, including looking at the tradeoffs between time and money and how each is valued. He has also published a series of papers on the societal impact of exposure to fast food. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. He has won numerous teaching awards from the Rotman School and received several grants in support of his research.

Last year, Nina Mažar, an associate professor of marketing, known for her work in behaviourial economics, was named by Poets&Quants as one of their Top 40.
