NeXus Consulting Group Celebrates 10 Years of Supporting Non-Profits & Social Enterprises.

Toronto – Since 2005, non-profit organizations and social enterprises have reached out to a team of MBA students at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management to help maximize their social impact.
 
NeXus offers affordable, fee-based consulting services to support a broad range of business needs, including business planning and start-up, marketing, growth and expansion, development of long-term financial sustainability, identifying operational efficiencies and measuring social impact.
 
The NeXus Partners have recently completed their first year of Rotman’s Full-Time MBA program. Their deep understanding of management and business practice is bolstered by an eclectic set of domestic and international experience in both the private and public sectors.
 
Sunita Pillai has a professional background in project management, strategy and sales. She previously worked for a microfinance organization in Vietnam, facilitating micro-loans and implementing sustainable development projects in rural communities. Sunita holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in International Development from the University of Waterloo.
 
Matthew Tansey is experienced in strategic planning, business development and project management. Most recently he spent three years with the United States Peace Corps in Panama in economic development for both government and community stakeholders, integrating socially and environmentally sustainable practices. Matthew started his career in traditional management consulting, working for a boutique strategic services firm in Chicago. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Miami University.
 
Nicole Dong worked at a large advertising agency working on B2B and B2C campaigns for a multi-national financial institution. She has experience in new business development and strategy, and has spent time working in social enterprises in Africa. She holds a B.A. in International Development Studies and History from McGill University and a M.Sc. in International Development & Global Affairs from the International University of Monaco.
 
Connected not only to the Rotman School’s world-renowned faculty, the consultants are also supported by mentors and a board of directors comprised of faculty and industry professionals who provide the best insights from the non-profit, business and academic worlds.  Research by Rotman faculty is ranked 4th in the world by the Financial Times.
