Join fellow alum Reta Coburn (MBA ’07), President of Aspiring Leaders in these highly interactive sessions designed to give you the tools and strategies to assess your current path, elevate your game and network more effectively. The first workshop in this series will focus on Linking Strengths and Values to Career Planning. SYNOPSIS: Aligning your strengths and career values with the professional environment you work within is a key aspect of thriving in your career. During this session you will have an opportunity to assess your strengths and natural talents, reflect on your career values and create a career action plan that will lay the foundation for successful career planning today and into the future.
The other sessions are on May 15th with a focus on 2.0 Development – Working on the Next Version of Your Leadership-Self and July 12th covering the topic of Building Relationships, Getting Results.
Reta Coburn is the founder of Aspiring Leaders, a boutique coaching and consulting organization exclusively providing leadership development and professional services that are geared towards accelerating organizational performance. Starting her management career as a team leader over 20 years ago, Reta has progressed her career in leadership, most recently as the Chief Operating Officer of a prominent regional law firm and previously the President of Fidelity National Financial’s Canadian operation. Reta also serves as a member of the board of directors of CAA Club Group and chair of the board of directors of Orion Travel Insurance Company. She is a graduate of Rotman’s Executive MBA program, the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program and McMaster University’s Management Studies program.
Chandra Drevjany is the founder of two businesses, CareerMark (2005) and most recently, in 2017, eLoft Careers (a division of The Career Loft Inc.) focused on maximizing student and graduate success in today's competitive job market by teaching job search skills that work. Over the past decade, she has coached professionals and executives across industries and professions in the areas of job search, career management, and career exploration. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Chandra help progressive positions in Human Resources supporting employees and managers in the areas of recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and development and performance management. Chandra is an annual volunteer with Halton Industry Education Council Woman as Career Coaches event and has enjoyed giving back through a variety of volunteer opportunities working with ill children throughout her adult life. Chandra holds a BA in Psychology, a CHRM and a Certificate in Adult Education. She is a Certified Coach Practitioner and is Myers Briggs trained.
