“Management Innovation: Methods
and Tools in Service Industries”
Guest editor: Desheng
Dash Wu and David L. Olson
The recent spur of the applications of various
quantitative techniques in the management science demands new thinking in
the service industries. The use of
innovative management methods and tools has been growing at an unprecedented rate, and will continue to
expand in the near future.
Either ground breaking methodologies or novel tools are
needed to reshape the landscape of the current service industries. To face
this new challenge, this special

together the state-of-the-art research from different perspectives.
Subject Coverage
We solicit papers that address the issues raised
above with an emphasis on the use of models and tools from the area of
performance analysis, operations management, business data mining and risk
management, but we also welcome innovative modeling approaches from other
areas.
