I’m Maria Jimena Rivera, the new Managing Director for the Full-Time MBA Program. I’m a recent transplant from Texas (the howdy might give me away). I’m delighted to have joined the Rotman community, which has the powerful advantage of being in one of the most multicultural cities and progressive countries in the world.  When my family and I left the U.S. a few months ago, we did so with the intent of hitching our wagon (the Texan in me again) to a place that values the richness and diversity of its people.  And it doesn’t hurt that apart from its people, Canada is also naturally beautiful.

Our incoming Class of 2020 just participated in our Orientation Camp (O-Camp) near Huntsville in Ontario’s Muskoka region.  Our student organization, the Graduate Business Council, spent months planning O-Camp to ensure the experience was one that created a culture of appreciation and respect for one another.  That’s the type of community we’re looking to recreate for the Class of 2021.

We hope you’ll consider joining us!
