Why did you decide to study the Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting program?

I chose to study the Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting program because it fast tracks the CPA process and allows me to focus on school and work separately, as opposed to doing both at the same time.

What are your main reasons for choosing Rotman?

The main reason for choosing Rotman as the GDipPA program is because of the involvement all the professors have with CPA Canada, and the case based approach Rotman takes.  I believe the combination of these 2 factors will best prepare me for passing the CFE.

What are you looking forward to most in the program?

I’m looking forward to being comfortable analyzing cases in a time constraint.  At the beginning of the program, you quickly learn how far you are from being able to pass the CFE because of how little case analysis you are taught in your undergraduate program.  By trusting the processes enforced by the professors, I hope to be much more comfortable with this process by the end of the summer.

Aside from the curriculum, I’m excited to meet students from schools across Canada, and the multiple Rotman Socials held throughout the summer.

The Rotman Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting (GDipPA) is a CPA Accredited 12-week summer program that helps prepare you for the Common Final Examination (CFE) and satisfies the four modules of the CPA PEP.
