Why did you decide to study the Master of Management Analytics program?

I chose to study Management Analytics at Rotman because I wanted to complement my previous education in Business Administration with the ability to systematically analyze data. Together, these two skills will prepare me for a wide range of jobs that involve optimizing business processes through insights from data analysis. While Management Analytics is vital in almost every industry, I am most interested in its applications in sports, politics, and finance.

What are your top reasons for choosing Rotman?

I chose to study at Rotman because U of T is one of the most respected academic institutions in the world. The Rotman curriculum afforded students the opportunity to develop both technical and communication skills, so I felt it was the best choice to kickstart my career. Additionally, the MMA program offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience in analytics through the practicum project.

What are you looking forward to most in the program?

Over the next nine months, I am most looking forward to developing my programming skills in R, Python, and SQL. In particular, I am looking forward to Structuring and Visualizing Data for Analytics (RSM8411) and Modeling Tools for Predictive Analytics (RSM8512).

The Master of Management Analytics is designed to give students the advanced data management, analytics and communication skills needed to become an analytics professional.
