Are you applying to PhD programs this year? In this section, you will find everything you need to know about Rotman's highly competitive admissions, application requirements, online application, deadlines, and fees. The goal of Rotman’s PhD Program is to select a small number of outstanding candidates who are most likely to successfully complete our rigorous and demanding program, and go on to make significant contributions to management research and education. The admission selection process is highly competitive; on average only 15-20 students are admitted from a pool of 400-500 applicants. The faculty admission teams in each area look for excellent academic records that include strong backgrounds in relevant disciplines: (Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management) and/or previous work experience related to the intended area of concentration. Attention is also paid to test scores, letters of references, and to the applicants' own written descriptions of their backgrounds, interests, and career goals.
