The Accounting PhD: Research Project
Our Strength: Our Program
Some areas require a research project component for the purpose of developing research and writing skills and preparing for the final dissertation. Students may be encouraged to present research at academic conferences or develop work to be published.
Students are required to conduct a research project in the summer following the first year of their program. Research projects will be supervised by a faculty member who is approved by the accounting PhD coordinator. Students are expected to present a paper based on their summer research during a regular accounting workshop.
