Bio

Gabor Virag is an Associate Professor of Economic Policy & Analysis in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga, with a cross-appointment to the Economic Analysis and Policy area at Rotman. His research focuses on the dynamics of market interaction, using auction and search theoretic models to understand market conduct, allocation and efficiency. He has studied information policy choices in dynamic economies, the role of learning in markets with frictions, and dynamic contests. His scholarly articles appeared in the American Economic Journal, Games and Economic Behavior, International Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies and Theoretical Economics.
