The Integrative Thinking Research Network (ITRN) weaves together the threads of Integrative Thinking's intellectual umbrella using a multi-disciplinary approach. This wide focus introduces a revolutionary outlook to business thinking, while simultaneously embodying a depth that fully embodies the disciplines to be found within a business school. These projects address the challenges central to the MBA of the future.

The study of the mind, how we think, decide and interract are all key components of Integrative Thinking. Each is a mental model by which we conduct our lives. The Integrative Thinking Reseach Network (ITRN) takes a look at various aspects of the humsn psyche and behaviour to better understand the models with which we work. Once we are introduced to the constructs of our thoughts and actions, we are able to step back and perceive new ways of thinking and problem solving. The ITRN takes a multi-disciplinary approach that reveals a series of well-defined facets from the pedagogical jewel of Integrative Thinking's research. This wide focus enables a well-rounded approach while maintaining greath depth that embodies the disciplines to be found within a business school and address the challenges central to the MBA of the future.

Will Strange is the RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust Professor of Real Estate & Urban Economics
Bernardo Blum is an Associate Professor of Business Economics at Rotman

They have been investigating the economic return of skills in the context of agglomerations of skilled individuals (for example, cities). Their work has focused on identifying productive super-modular interactions among different skillsets as a way of explaining the wage differential between urban and non-urban workers. Further work will seek to identify the return to both individuals and communities of certain convex combinations of skills that can be identified, selected, trained or developed. Marigee Bacolod, Department of Econmics, University of California, was a collaborator.

Jordan PetersonMeasuring high-value decision making

Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson is a clinical pscyhologist, and Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto

Using a combination of neuro-psychological, personality and cognitive measures, Jordan Peterson and his multi-disciplinary team have designed, piloted and tested scales and measurement tools for what have previously been considered "ineffeable" components of human ingenuity. This tool will form the basis for an entirely new approach to selecting, evaluating and training the high value decision makers of the future.
