SYNOPSIS: Anita will present core themes from her forthcoming book called "A New Strategy for Global Health" (2018). She advocates for delivering health rather than healthcare. Health advocates now face an opportunity to improve all systems for delivering health radically by focusing on their implementation first in resource-limited settings. By relying on machine learning, digital communication, and other modern technologies, injuries can be prevented. By re-conceptualizing eldercare, we can improve quality of life, lengthen lives, and lower costs. By doubling down on the prevention and treatment of communicable disease, we can save and improve lives immediately. McGahan argues that, to overcome resistance to change, much can be accomplished by working in partnership with health advocates that are seeking to build health infrastructure where it is currently underdeveloped.
