Biographies of 4 Keynote Speakers:
Rocca Morra Hodge is the Director of Career Services for the Executive MBA Programs at the Rotman School of Management, focusing on executive coaching and preparing these professionals for their next career move. Previously, she worked as a senior Human Resources professional for large organizations, covering a variety of roles: Leadership Development Manager at Manulife Financial; HR Business Partner at Sears Canada; and most recently was Head of Human Resources for Warner Bros. Entertainment Canada. Rocca is a certified executive coach and is an expert on career strategies, interviewing skills, resume writing and branding.
Rocca is a talented facilitator and has delivered numerous workshops on Leadership, Teambuilding, Change Management, Career Planning Strategies and Performance Management. She leads the Leadership Assessment and Team Building modules of the Executive MBA programs and is the lead coach on leadership development planning throughout the programs. Building confidence and competence in all of her clients, Rocca is keen to see her students transform their careers, become the best they can be and achieve their definition of success.
Dorothy Lazovik is a leadership brand specialist, coach, facilitator, guest speaker and a mother. Since starting her business in 2002, she has worked with leaders and organizations that are fully committed to getting real about who they are and playing bigger.
As a former executive in the US retail industry, with more than 20 years of experience in fashion, sales and marketing, Dorothy works with evolving leaders that span over 15 industries. She provides a personal brand solution to strengthen their inner game, which allows them to lead with greater certainty, position their value and consistently deliver outstanding results.
Dorothy also enjoys her role of being a mentor and building effective Mastermind groups to support the career development of young female professionals. She also offers her time to several organizations and is actively committed to working with women that have experienced violence.
For six consecutive years - from 2008 to 2013 - Dorothy was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award.
Anita Windisman is the Principal of a consultancy practice enabling sales teams to scale their business prospecting on LinkedIn. Most recently, she was a Sr. Customer Success Manager at LinkedIn, where she spent 5.5 years, both in the Toronto and London, UK offices. She worked with leading global clients such as SAP, Oracle, Xerox, 3M, Vodafone, BT and others – providing strategic direction to senior sales leaders on how to implement Social Selling programs in their organizations.
Being on LinkedIn since 2003 as member number 34,445 puts her the super “early adopter” category – especially when you consider that there are now over 610 million members on LinkedIn worldwide.
Anita has over 22 years of experience in sales and marketing, with the last 15 focused in the online sector. She was the former Director of Marketing & Communications – Canada for the former Quebecor World and has worked with companies and brands such as Levi Strauss Canada, Toronto Hydro Energy Services and Royal LePage. Anita holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
Julia Woods spent over 20 years working with global content and communications companies, leading marketing, sales, product development and operations. Her passion for finding and developing leadership teams prompted a strategic career shift to executive search, at which point she joined Russell Reynolds associates as an executive director. As part of their global consumer practice she conducted C-Suite and board-level searches nationally. Eventually, she was selected to run the HR practice in Canada across sectors and her interest in human capital management grew.
Her deep experience in senior corporate roles, couples with a background in executive recruiting, enables her to provide unique consulting services to executive in transition and to those exploring career shifts.
Julia is an active member of Toronto's Verity Club, Up with Women and the Canadian Women's Foundation.
