Emotionally Resilient Leadership and the Future of Work: Leading a Multigenerational Workforce

Develop a strategy for leading a multigenerational workforce with emotional intelligence and resilience.

Overview

Resilient leadership is developed as a strategy for thriving in a culture of disruption and change that enables all generations to reach their potential in the workplace.

In today's work environment leaders are expected to be resilient in the face of uncertainty and change. It is an environment where disruption – of industry, product, and process – is constant and unrelenting, where emotional intelligence and resiliency are essential amongst all levels of leadership for today and the future of work. One of the major disruptions for our current generation of leaders is, how do you lead a workforce that is made up of 40 percent millennials? This interactive one-day workshop presents a framework for leaders to develop and strengthen their emotional intelligence and integrate the Millennial experience in their recruitment, engagement and retention strategy.

Key Takeaways:

  • Recognize and understand the competencies of emotional intelligence and their impact on various stakeholders
  • Examine connections between the leadership framework and Millennial experience.
  • Evaluate current strategies used to recruit, engage and retain Millennials and develop their leadership capacity.
  • Developing specific strategies that can be integrated in the workplace to foster the development of emotional intelligence and resiliency.

Program Features:

  • Contextually relevant cases and scenarios.
  • Participants' knowledge and experience act as the foundations for all activities and discussions.
  • Social learning opportunities: participants will engage in dialogues and activities and learn from each other.
  • Facilitator will provide a safe space for experimentation and practice.
  • Practical suggestions, as opposed to instruction, to encourage knowledge transfer and applied learning in the participants' workplace.
