Rotman's Strategic Business Leadership Program

Integrating across functions.

Get the tools, skills and mindset to think strategically at the enterprise level. Position yourself for success by becoming a cross-functional leader and expanding your influence and effectiveness.

Overview

To tackle the leadership responsibilities you face in today's highly competitive business environment, you have to develop new ways of thinking and new ways of managing. You must develop the ability to understand your organization's overall strategic direction, to think collaboratively and cross-functionally and to proactively set the agenda for change.

Rotman's Strategic Business Leadership Program is designed to help you expand your influence and effectiveness within your organization. The program provides you with the conceptual frameworks to set strategy, improve the quality of your thinking and decisions and lead effectively. You will come away from the program with a deeper understanding of how to navigate the increasing challenges associated with senior leadership roles.

The Journey to Senior Management

The program provided insights into the challenges of the "senior leader" in several key areas such as team leadership, strategy, problem solving and value opportunity generation to mention a few. The team sessions were inspiring, with the biggest take away being the realization "I'm not alone" in the challenges I'm facing. The faculty are knowledgeable and experienced of the challenges of the business world, and keep the teachings real, relevant and practical. All said and done, the course provides an accelerated track of introduction to the skills and insights needed by those taking that big step forward to occupying a seat at the management table.

Testimonials

I started a new position after the program ended where I deliberately created a cross-functional team, breaking down existing silos to gain a better understanding of what is truly happening within our organization. Rotman's Strategic Business Leadership Program inspired me to reach out to customers and employees and to listen, identify and respond better to their needs.

C4 Advanced Solutions LLC

Rotman's Strategic Business Leadership Program taught me how to do things differently and provided me with tools to determine where and how I want to make an impact within my organization. Part of the program involved creating our own personalized Action Learning Plans. This was extremely helpful in examining my current challenges, to identify and frame issues, and then develop a plan that I could actually implement. As a follow-up to the program, the series of reinforcement videos served as a great motivation to remind me of the program's key learnings.
