Major Duteau joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1983 and has worked at both Division Command and Arm Command levels.  After his early career as a Naval Supply Technician, he pursued Computer Information Technology, and was selected for Army Signals Officer.  Operationally Major Duteau deployed on United Nations Deployed Observer Force to Golan Heights, and more recently was Canadian contingent Commander for Exercise Combined Endeavour, a 40 nation military computer network interoperability exercise.  

From 2009 to 2015, Major Duteau was the Chief Technical Officer at Canadian Forces College, also here in Toronto.  Currently, Major Duteau is leading a dynamic team to provide staff results on Human Resource issues for the Commander of 4 Canadian Division.  In-process of co-founding a firm that aims to assist industry with its wicked problems, Duteau and his partners created a process anchored on military planning, analysis, design, and execution, applied as a business tool to resolve issues, or initiatives, and align frameworks from the C-Suite through to the employee levels.
