Janis Peleshok

Bio

Janis Peleshok, P.Eng. ICD.D currently is part of the Digital Team at CIBC, focused on clients, simplification and innovation. She joined CIBC in 2014 in Special Initiatives, Risk Management, office of the CRO. Formerly she was on the Board of Directors of Pele Mountain Resources (TSX-V:GEM). She brings international experience in strategic planning, business development, risk and governance, in highly regulatory industries including pharmaceutical, biotechnology and financial services. She held several senior positions in Canada, United States and Europe. She graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and from the Directors Education Program (DEP) at the Rotman School of Management. She is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and received her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. In 2014, the Canadian Board Diversity Council (CBDC) selected her as a Diversity 50 Board eligible candidate. She has been a Board Member of Microskills, a NFP, and PSCC 908, with oversight of an $82 million dollar asset. She is an activator with SheEO and mentor through TRIEC. She enjoys cycling, yoga and travel.
