As part of the CFO Leadership Program, each participant will complete a customized CFO Leadership Assessment - developed in conjunction with Hogan, a world leader in psychometric personality assessment tools for executives. The assessment is customized to measure the core leadership capabilities that have been identified as critical to successful finance executives by the Program Advisory Committee, built on global norms for successful finance executives and align directly with the program content.
Odgers Berndtson (OB) will conduct the assessment and coaching for each participant with a focus on the following key elements:
- Personality and leadership strengths that impact performance at the executive level, including the ability to balance strategic thinking with execution savvy and managing complex stakeholder relations.
- Potential derailers that may impair an executive's performance under stress, which could impact a finance executive's ability to lead teams, deal with change or present key data effectively.
- Individual motives and values that are critical for performance in a senior finance role.
The Hogan suite of psychometric assessments has been developed over the past 35 years by Dr. Robert Hogan, a leading researcher and psychologist, along with his wife, Joyce Hogan. Together, they developed the first inventory of normal personality based on the Five Factor Model created specifically for the business community.
Odgers Berndtson is a leading global executive search and leadership development firm. The firm's Leadership Practice is headed by Eric Beaudan, based in Toronto, who developed the LeaderFit assessment method used to assess capabilities of senior executives in Canada and globally. Working in partnership with Hogan Assessment, Odgers Berndtson is developing the custom assessment tool that will be used to assess each participant's leadership potential, including a comparative norm to finance executives globally. Odgers Berndtson will provide the feedback and coaching embedded in the program design.
