Targeting companies by industry

Do you have a list of companies you would like to work for? Use FP Advisor to create a target list of Canadian companies in a particular industry.

Public companies in Canada

• FP Advisor
• Select "Lead List Generator"
• Select "Financial Post Corporate Surveys"
• Select "industry" from "S&P GICS Classification" pull down menu
  Ex: 352020 - Pharmaceuticals
• Fill in additional areas to narrow search further
• Click "Search" button

Private companies in Canada

• FP Advisor
• Choose "Lead List Generator"
• Choose "ProFile Canada"
• Enter one or more 4-digit SIC codes
• Example: Pharmaceuticals SIC 2834
• Fill in additional areas to narrow search further
• Click "Search" button

Public companies in other countries

• Mergent Online
• Click "Enter Mergent Online"
• Deselect all boxes except for "International Company Database (Active)"
• Select "Primary NAICS"
• Use "Code Lookup" to find industry
• Example: NAICS 3254 - Pharmaceuticals
• Choose country from pulldown menu
• Click "Search" button
• Click company name to see details
