  • If your Google search results include PDFs, you can now click on the "Quick View" button to quickly view the PDF in your browser - it's no longer necessary for you to download the PDF. Look for the Quick View button on the second line of the Google result. (Note: not all PDFs have the Quick View option yet.)

  • Find Harvard Business Review articles.

  • The Canadian Social Investment Database (Jantzi) provides social and environmental profiles for more than 230 companies on the TSX Composite Index. Corporate performance is rated using a set of social and environmental indicators, and areas of strength and concern are highlighted.

  • Vault Career Insider. The Vault Career Insider offers a wide range of career related guides, including the MBA Career Bible, the Vault Guide to the Case Interview, and the Vault Guide to the Top Financial Services Employers. Accessing and downloading the guides is now easier - simply select the guide(s) of interest to you, enter your email address, and a link to the guide (PDF format) will be immediately emailed to you.

  • Find market research reports in ProQuest.
    • Select “ProQuest” from drop down list of databases on the left.
    • Enter keyword(s) to describe topic of interest in Search box, e.g. pet food.
    • Click the 'More Search Options' at the bottom of search options.
    • On 'Document Type' row, select 'Market research' from drop down box.
    • Click on orange ‘Search’ box.

  • To access the International Financial Reporting Standards for 2007 and 2008, select the CICA database from the drop down list, then click on the "My Subscriptions" tab.

  • Use the Business Source Premier database to locate SWOT analysis for a specific company or industry. Type in a term or company name in the search box, then select the 'SWOT Analyses' button.

  • Do you need current, comprehensive overview of a company or industry? Try searching Business Source Premier, and select Industry Profile or Company Profile from the results list to view a Datamonitor report. Or search for a company name in ProQuest, and select Reference/Reports tab above the results, to view a Hoover's Company Record.

  • Which database includes analyst reports? Where can I find case studies? To learn more about which databases contain the information you need, click the Database Summary (PDF) link on the left-side menu on the BIC home page, or under the drop down list of databases.

  • Looking for NAICS/SIC information? Click the link on the menu on left side of the BIC home page.
