Where can I find detailed (and oldest) historical data on stocks? (Top)
You would use Datastream and use the history wizard. Alternatively bloomberg and reuters will work as well.
I bought stocks that are now delisted, what will happen in my RPM? (Top)
In real life you can probably trade the delisted stock in over the counter market, but in RPM the stocks basically disappear and you lose the money
How do I find the historical price of stocks using Reuters? (Top)
You can use the “Add-Ins” tool in Excel.
Open Reuters.
Open Excel.
Click on the Add-Ins tab located on top of your Excel sheet.
Click on Reuters Tools and select History.
Here you can type in the ticker symbol and select the type of data you are looking for (i.e. Daily, monthly, etc.). Double click on the desired Field, (date, price, bid, ask…) and then press Copy Link.
I am in Karine Benzacar's portfolio management class and we are using RPM. I wanted to trade options, but I can't figure out the ticker symbols. I know there is a symbol lookup but there is no link to options (only stocks, futures, and bonds). I would like to know how to look up option symbols (specifically Jan 09 call option on BCE strike 34 traded in Montreal).

Open Reuters Trader. Then open Optionwatch. Type in the ticker symbol of your company (yours is ca;bce), then all the options will show.
On the left side you see the ticker symbols of call options, and on the right side the ticker symbols of the put options.
The Jan 09 34 Call option ticker symbol is: ca;bce a3400.
Type this in RPM and it will show up.
When do the trading competitions take place? (Top)
Commerce Trading competitions normally take place in November; Rotman International Trading competition usually takes place in February or March. We occasionally hold other trading competitions too. Don’t forget to visit our web site by then!
Why is the historical price data downloaded in WRDS only up to the previous year end? (Top)
Because our lab updates the data in WRDS annually. If you need historical price data after the previous year end, you can go to Reuters.
I can’t find TSX historical financial data in WRDS, where can I download it? (Top)
You can download it in Reuters and datastream.
Where can I register for financial modeling class? (Top)
You can register in Rotman Commerce Portal.
Where can we download analysts’ research report? (Top)
Go to Rotman Business Centre and go to database choose Investext, log in with your ID, search for the reports by typing the company's ticker or name
Why can I not find bond quotes for Japan on RPM? (Top)
Bond quotes for countries other than Canada and the US have not been uploaded on RPM. However, if you need to access a specific quote just inform a lab assistasnt and he or she will upload it for you.
