Overview
Executive Compensation database contains over 2500 companies. It covers the current S&P 1500, companies that used to be part of the 1500, trading companies removed from the index, and some client requests. Data collection on the S&P 1500 began in 1994 while most of the S&P 500 has data back to 1992.
The data is collected from annual proxy of each company. The data is filed 120 days after the fiscal year end of each company. ExecuComp collects up to 9 executives for a given year. The number of entries obtained depends on the number of executives filed in the companies' proxy statement.
