Financial Post Corporate Database

The Financial Post Corporate Database contains financial and corporate information for approximately 4,400 companies - 3600 active companies and 800 companies that are no longer active as a result of mergers, takeovers, privatization or liquidation. The general guidelines for inclusion are:

The company has securities listed on a Canadian stock exchange,
and/or the company has debt issues that are available to investors,
and/or the company has a substantial impact on the Canadian economy and is willing to provide financial and corporate information the Financial Post DataGroup.

There are different ways to search the companies, such as name, CUSIP, FPID, or ticket label, as well as SIC code, and through keywords.

The following screen shows a search screen. You can select multiple options by holding the Ctrl-key while clicking.

The output of the search can be saved in different formats, such as HTML, CSV, SAS, and SPSS.

Financial Post Mutual Fund Database

The Financial Post Mutual Fund Database includes information for over 4200 active funds from almost 200 sponsor companies. Information includes fund status, type, RRSP indicators, sales/redemption charge, currency, dividend frequency, management fees, expense ratios, and percentage foreign invested. For each fund you may also retrieve time series of data, listing changes in total net assets, NAVPS, income and capital gain dividend per share, share balance, and value of investment.

There is an alphabetical list of all the funds as well as their sponsors. It is also possible to search for funds and companies by keywords.

The output of the search can be saved in different formats, such as HTML, CSV, SAS, and SPSS.
