</u>On February 1, 2005, we set sail to the Self and Identity Laboratory (SAIL). The mission of this lab group is to study the role of self-perception in individuals, groups, and organizations. <a href="resep.htm">Past research</a> conducted and published by this lab has examined self-perception in motivation, collective identity, intergroup conflict, self-evaluation, and negotiations. Our general theme is the investigation of psychological, theory-driven models of the self and their application to the organizational context. A core belief behind this research is that a proper understanding of the self will promote effective personal performance, fluid group processes, and a collaborative organizational atmosphere.</p>
<p class="style10 style13">Collaborators of SAIL include researchers in the United States, Canada, and Europe in psychology departments (e.g., Drs. Marilynn Brewer, Bob Arkin, Zakary Tormala, Tony Hermann, Cindy Pickett, Jessica Lakin, Russell Spears, Daan Scheepers, David De Cremer) and in business schools (e.g., Drs. Adam Galinsky, Jeanne Brett, Leigh Thompson, Kathy Phillips, Ashleigh Rosette).</p>
