DESAUTELS CENTRE FOR INTEGRATIVE THINKING

With the launch of the Marcel Desautels Centre for Integrative Thinking in January of 2002, the Rotman School took a giant leap towards changing the way business schools teach business. This academic unit -- the first of its kind -- will bring together internationally-renowned scholars to push the frontiers of
Integrative Thinking, conduct original research, and make the Rotman School a focal point for thought leadership and dialogue in this area.

,
director of the Centre for Integrative Thinking.

The Desautels Centre will play a pivotal and far-reaching role in Canada, and in business education worldwide, by providing key resources needed to develop the world's first truly integrative business school
curriculum. The Centre is essential to the Rotman School's mandate to become one of the world's top tier business schools by leading a revolution in the teaching of business.

The Desautels Centre for Integrative Thinking was made possible by two generous $10-million gifts (one in May 2000; the other in June 2005) from Dr. Marcel Desautels and the Canadian Credit Management Foundation (CCMF). The foundation, with Dr. Desautels as president and CEO, supports specific educational organizations and institutions in Canada.
