Strategy Research Initiative’s Strategy Reader

SRI’s Strategy Reader is a commentary and listing of seminal articles in various domains within the field of strategy. It represents the contributors’ collective viewpoint on what represents high quality research in strategy. Our hope is that the Strategy Research will be a valuable resource for doctoral students in strategy and related fields.  In the commentaries that follow the reading lists, you will find detailed discussion of the most salient challenges facing strategy researchers and of some successful approaches for addressing those challenges. Reflecting the diversity of the strategy field, the commentaries identify quite different challenges across domains.

Strategy Research Initiative’s Empirical Primer

SRI’s Strategy Empirical Primer is a reference for empirical researchers. The Empirical Reference Guide is a bibliography of useful references on econometric methods. The Data Resource Guide provides a list of databases of potential use to strategy researchers with commentary on their individual strengths and weaknesses.
