Whether it’s through case competitions, international development projects or consulting on local non-profit boards, the student experience takes learning beyond the walls of the classroom and helps students develop the skills they need to succeed. Most importantly, it helps make Rotman a place where community thrives - where students make friends and memories to last a lifetime.
“Through my experience of being the President of the Graduate Business Council, Rotman taught me the value of diversity of thought, speaking up and constructively challenging the status quo. There is no doubt in my mind that I am where I am today because of my Rotman experience.”
– Rachel Megitt, MBA ‘10

“Through the GBC, Rotman taught me that leadership means listening when people speak, taking ownership of the decisions made from that feedback, and supporting those who act on said decisions. Through Rotman, I built an invaluable professional support network, and developed lifelong friendships.”
-Sean Kershaw, MBA ‘15
Support from this campaign will help expand the Rotman Student Experience Fund – a fund that allows students and clubs to apply for additional funding for initiatives that promote student life in the school. Through the Women in Management Association’s annual conference championing the role of women in the workplace, the Rotman Finance Association’s case competitions that bring classroom knowledge to real-world problems, or the Graduate Business Council’s Diversity & Inclusion Week, our student leaders are bringing insight to action and creating community at the School.
“During my time as the GBC President, it was an honour to see how the activities we planned helped build community among the student population. The network we develop at Rotman is the most valuable asset of the program.”
-Andrew Seepersad, MBA ‘19
