April 25, 2018

Toronto –  Building on the on the strength of the accounting areas across the three campuses of the University of Toronto, a new centre for research has been established with the support of CPA Ontario.

The CPA Ontario Centre for Accounting Innovation Research will be led by Alex Edwards, the inaugural director and an assistant professor of accounting at the UofT’s Rotman School of Management.

The Centre will bring together scholars from across the University to engage in relevant research that can inform policy and practice in the accounting profession. The Centre will facilitate the research activities of the faculty in their existing areas of expertise through research grants, an annual research conference, and supporting accounting research in the growing area of big data.
