New Book Released to Help Families Navigate the Complex World of Wealth Management.

February 19, 2019

TORONTO -- A critical resource for families managing significant wealth, Wealth of Wisdom: The Top 50 Questions Wealthy Families Ask, was released today and is available at http://tinyurl.com/y6tsbbyb.

The book offers essential guidance and tools to help both high-net-worth families and average investors successfully manage wealth and family dynamics. By compiling expert responses to the 50 most common questions, the book provides a compendium of knowledge from thought-leaders around the globe and across disciplines.

Tom McCullough, Keith Whitaker and their contributing authors detail how succession planning encompasses far more than simply transitioning assets: it requires constant attention, including clear communication, good governance, effective education, and shared values. “It’s not only about providing the next generation with financial independence, it’s about providing them with the tools to be truly independent,” says Tom McCullough, Chairman and CEO of Northwood Family Office and Adjunct Professor of Finance at the Rotman School of Management and one of the books co-authors.

Vital charts, examples, questions, and reading lists help you get organised, develop a strategy and take real control of your family's wealth, while case studies show how other families have handled the very dilemmas you may be facing today.

“Managing significant wealth is a complex affair, and navigating the financial world involves making decisions that have major consequences. This book equips you to be proactive and make the tough decisions to protect and grow your family's wealth,” adds Keith Whitaker, co-author and President and Founder of Wise Counsel Research, a think tank studying wealth, philanthropy, and leadership.

Drawn from interactions with hundreds of wealthy individuals and families, Wealth of Wisdom provides a definitive resource of practical solutions from the world's best financial minds. Over 50 thought-leaders, practitioners, advisors, writers, and teachers from around the world have contributed chapters. They address the questions that families have about growing and preserving true family wealth.

"With Wealth of Wisdom, Tom, Keith, and their cadre of experts offer families the tools and resources they need to move into the future with clarity, confidence, and control," says Dirk Jungé, Chairman of Pitcairn Company, a recognized global leader in the family office marketplace.

A launch event for the book will be held at the Rotman School of Management on March 6. Details are available here
