Why did you decide to study the Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting program?

I decided to study the Professional Diploma in Professional Accounting program because I believe it will prepare me well for the CFE. Being able to complete the modules in a classroom setting helps me better understand the materials and ask questions whenever in doubt. This program also provides me with many opportunities to practice my case writing skills, and the feedback given by the professors and teaching assistants are very helpful and valuable. Furthermore, I would be able to focus on completing the first 4 modules of the CPA PEP before starting full-time.

What are your main reasons for choosing Rotman?

First of all, Rotman has a world-class accounting faculty and many amazing professors. Having completed my undergraduate degree at Rotman Commerce, I just love the way they deliver the materials and engage the class. They are not only super knowledgeable and experienced in their fields, they are also very approachable and care about each and every one of their students. Secondly, Rotman is located at the heart of the city and I very much enjoy the summer of Toronto. Last but not least, classes are made up of students from across the country, providing me with the opportunity to make new friends along the way.

What are you looking forward to most in the program?

I look forward to getting more exposure to different kinds of cases and practicing them to better prepare myself for the CFE.
