Why did you decide to join the Master of Financial Risk Management program?

I chose the MFRM as I was looking for a program that steps past the theoretical approach to quantitative finance, focusing on the real-world application of in-demand technical tools and skills like machine learning and advanced statistical modelling. The extensive resources offered in the program and the world-class faculty of renowned academics and professionals set the program apart.

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?

I look forward to the research project, where we get the opportunity to spend nine weeks working alongside esteemed industry professionals, applying our in-class knowledge to tackle real business problems in an area of interest.

What do you expect to gain in your next 10 months at Rotman?

Over the next ten months, I expect to further develop and refine my technical skills in programming, derivatives pricing, quantitative trading, credit risk, and statistics. In addition to developing hard skills, I look forward to refining my soft skills through the various workshops, case competitions, and networking events offered throughout the program.
