Why did you decide to study the Master of Management Analytics program?

On finishing my bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, my passion for analytics and solving business problems motivated me to join a retail consultancy firm as an Analytics Associate where I got exposure to a variety of interesting projects in the retail and e-commerce domain. I provided marketing insights to some of the biggest luxury fashion brands in the world and working on that got me excited about taking my career forward and chose to pursue a master’s degree in Management Analytics where I could learn to use data to provide actionable business insights.

What are your top reasons for choosing Rotman?

After deciding on a career in Business Analytics, I was faced with the next challenge of establishing top business schools that offered this course and after doing my research, Rotman was an obvious choice. I was really impressed with the course structure which exposes us to the applications of analytics across a wide variety of industries be it Supply Chain, Finance, or Marketing, and the practicum project component where I would be given an opportunity to work with a company and apply the classroom knowledge in a real-life business setting. Secondly, the MMA has been developed in collaboration with a strong corporate advisory board which really speaks volumes about the efforts that has been put in to create this program.

What are you looking forward to most in the program?

I am looking forward to the practicum project where I will be working in the Consumer Insights and Sales department at Janssen, the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson. This practicum will give me the entire analytics experience from data preparation to insights. Given that Rotman is widely recognized amongst academicians and employers, the number of opportunities to attend networking events and guest lectures are plentiful. Finally, the Analytics Colloquia is a really interesting course where I am exposed to a variety of interesting topics from Responsible Artificial Intelligence to Quantum Machine Learning taught by some of the best lecturers and industry professionals.

The Master of Management Analytics is designed to give students the advanced data management, analytics and communication skills needed to become an analytics professional.
