Why did you decide to study the Master of Management Analytics program?
Having worked at the Financial services firm, we had to work on Tableau to analyze huge amounts of data. Which tool or technology is required to analyze the data meaningfully and make sense of the information at hand used to be a challenge. Hence, I wanted to learn data science and decided to join the MMA program at Rotman.
What were your top reasons for choosing Rotman?
Some of the top reasons for joining Rotman apart from its reputation were the prestige of being a part of the Rotman and UofT community, meeting and learning from some of the best faculty members, success of the program I wanted to join and the innovative layout of the MMA program (with the intensive Practicum project).
What are you looking forward to most in the program?
I’m really excited about the practicum project!
What do you expect to gain in your next 11 months at Rotman?
I expect to learn the art of data science and how our knowledge in the MMA program can act as a key to a lock which is these huge amounts of data, all companies are trying to get their hands on and analyze.
How have you found the online experience at Rotman?
The online experience has been good. Rotman Hub and Quercus portals are very helpful, and the information is displayed in a very organized manner. Its easy to navigate through these portals.
Did COVID-19 make you re-consider your decision to study this year, and if so, what made you decide to continue?
I was reconsidering my decision of starting school this year but then realized that if the situation improves next year, the competition will be much higher than this year. Also, online integration of the program may not be the best experience but is definitely a new and interesting experience.
