About the Award

The Forté Fellows Program was created with the intention of increasing the number of women applying to and enrolling in MBA programs by offering fellowships to women. To date, schools have given nearly $110 million to more than 5,000 Forté Fellows. At Rotman over the previous 2 years, 30+ Forté Fellows have been awarded more than $1M in total scholarships.

The Forté community – a powerful alliance that mobilizes over 100,000 women – is a group of motivated and inspiring individuals transforming leadership in every field that business touches. Forté members from diverse backgrounds, industries, and career stages unite to shake up the status quo.

Forté Fellows at Rotman

The Forté Fellowship links talented women, influential companies, leading universities, pioneering donors and business schools to advance women in business. This includes Anne, who currently holds an office at both Mount Sinai Hospital and MaRs. With a PhD in Biomedical engineering, Anne chose Rotman to understand business decision making and to apply these skills in her field.

Forté Fellows have diverse academic and career backgrounds. Yule certainly fits this description – her illustrious career has ranged from working at Twitter as a Market Specialist to being a Special Advisor to the Yukon government’s Cabinet and Premier. Yule believes Rotman is the perfect fit to give her the skills to start her own business. Alyssa is another fellow whose career has brought her to different fields. As a project analyst at SickKids Hospital, Alyssa went from studying Molecular Biology to working in tech. Her choice in Rotman stemmed from her desire to learn more about business and to use this knowledge in her day-to-day work.
