About Me: Artem, MEMBA Class of 2023

Quick Info

  • Name: Artem
  • Graduate Year: 2023
  • Morning or Evening MBA: Evening MBA

Why did you decide to join Rotman?

I decided to apply and join Rotman based on a recommendation. I am interested in pursuing a career in Investment Banking/Private Equity. I had a chance to network with people from the industry, hiring managers, and they all suggested to me Rotman School as the best school to change my career and obtain a competitive edge.

What is your career aspiration?

I see my career aspirations as obtaining MBA related to capital markets: Investment Banking, Wealth Management or FinTech.

What is the experience in the cohort?

There is a great diversity in experience between people of the Evening MBA cohort. You are able to meet people with background and different fields and learn from them!

Have you been able to take advantage of extracurricular activities at Rotman - CDL, clubs, case competitions?

My extra curriculum activity is built around professional development. I am an active member of RAMA and RFA clubs and have participated in most of their case competitions. Case competitions are a great tool to evaluate where you are standing against your peers, show your strengths, and find areas of improvement. Usually, case competitions are running ahead of the curriculum, and I recommend starting early to remain competitive.

Share a networking experience you have had at the Rotman School, what benefits did you derive?

My networking experience so far has been amazing! Rotman is a well-recognized brand among employees, and alumni are always ready to share their experience. So far, I have had 5 coffee chats with different individuals in Investment Banking and they all were happy to share valuable insights and tips to be better prepared for interview season.
