Why did you decide to join Rotman?

My interest in Rotman begun when I met a great leader who was a Rotman's alumna. I did my own search, and Rotman stood out from all other programs as a place filled with talented and energetic students who are driven to succeed. It was the only program that would help me fulfill my goals and reach my full potentials. Finally, with Rotman's reputation and as the #1 MBA in Canada, it was a sealed deal.

What is your career aspiration?

My ambition has no limit. As an Architect and a Project Manager, I want to drive decisions that shape entire cities and change the skylines of metropolitans towards the well being of their residents. My aim is to shape ethical strategies that steer sustainable urban design that promotes inclusion and equality. I want to be in a position that empowers and helps others thrives all over the world.

What are you enjoying about the program?

The interaction with professors! They all value the importance of meaningful participation, and they have offered different methods to discuss and raise questions. They are all approachable, vibrant, and eager to help. There is truly no dull moment in class!

What is the experience in the cohort?

My cohort feels like one big family. I have never been surrounded by this amount of intelligent and talented people. Each and every one of the students has a different set of skills and experience that they are willing to share with others. Also, I'd like to give a big shout-out to my team, Team 7. I was a bit worried at first about having to work with a team on some of the assignments, but it turned out to be an amazing experience that I will value as a highlight of my Rotman experience.

Have you been able to take advantage of extracurricular activities at Rotman - CDL, clubs, case competitions?

I am enjoying the self-development lab. The things I learned about myself, my emotions, how my brain works and behavior patterns are amazing. I also had fantastic feedback about my presentation skills in my one-on-one session with the lab that I applied directly to my work.

Share a networking experience you have had at the Rotman School, what benefits did you derive?

I have had a chance to chat and network with managers from the big three consulting firms. McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Bain & Company. They all offered great information about the work culture, the interview process, and the various work streams within consultancies.

Anything else you would like to share?

I am profoundly impressed by the flexibility of Rotman facing COVID-19. The quality of education wasn't compromised, and the experience is still very engaging, interesting, and unique.
