Bio

Calvin A. Younger is currently Executive-in-Residence and Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management, while serving as Senior Vice President and Head, Business and Corporate Banking, Real Estate Finance Division with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).

Prior to joining CIBC, Calvin was a Partner with Ernst & Young and Managing Director, Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal, the firm's global real estate advisory practice.

Prior to that, Calvin held senior roles with Deutsche Bank Canada, including Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer, Senior Vice President, Corporate and Investment Banking and Vice President, Real Estate Special Loans.

He is an independent Director of Haventree Bank, a Canadian financial services company serving the alternative retail mortgage market through its national broker network.  The company is regulated by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions and operates through its head office in Toronto.  He also serves as a non-independent Director of CIBC Asset-Based Lending Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIBC.

Calvin is also very active in the community.  At various times over the last number of years he has served as Chair of the Board, Hincks Dellcrest Treatment Centre, Chair of Hincks Dellcrest Foundations and Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters Toronto.

At Rotman, Calvin teaches RSM2126 "Real Estate Development" and RSM2130 "Real Estate Investment".
