Julie McCarthy is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management in the Department of Management at University of Toronto Scarborough with a cross-appointment to the Organizational Behaviour area at Rotman. Julie’s research examines how organizations can ensure that their policies and practices are viewed favorably by job applicants and employees. She also investigates strategies that individuals can use to reduce stress, build resilience and achieve success in their work and home lives. Her work is published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and Psychological Science. Julie has received numerous awards and grants for her work and is a Fellow of the International Association of Applied Psychology. In the corporate sector, Julie conducts leadership and resilience training programs, and job performance management systems and personnel selection tools on behalf public and private corporations.
