What does good governance like for family firms and why should we care?

In May 2019, the David and Sharon Johnston Centre for Corporate Governance Innovation was established to create and disseminate research and insights on organizational governance particularly focusing on under-served sectors.

Over the last year, the Johnston Centre has taken a tremendous first step towards achieving this mission. We are creating new insights and resources for boards across diverse sectors, including family business, private equity, dual-class share structures, public issuers and credit unions; convening and shaping conversation on the most important topics in corporate governance through our high-profile events and popular webinar series; and building the foundations for our future work through data collection. These are all ways we are working to foster innovation in corporate governance in all segments of our nation.

As we embark on our second year, we invite you to explore highlights from our past year.

Check out our highlights from 2019-2020
