Chris Richmond is the Sales Engineering Leader for Canada and the Northeast US at Proofpoint, Inc. Chris’ focus is on the evolving cybersecurity landscape and how customers can leverage their cybersecurity stack to improve protection, while at the same time ensuring the protection of critical data and the reduction of privacy risks for organizations. Chris previously led groups focused on Advanced Malware, Forensics Architecture and Planning. Chris also helped bring to market some of the first cloud security solutions. Throughout his career in cybersecurity, his interactions around informational risk and privacy have allowed him an in-depth understanding of the complexities of protecting data while ensuring privacy and maintaining low risk profile.
Ashkan Amiri is a Distinguished Architect, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, at Blackberry Ltd.; his role is focused on creating the next generation of proactive cyber defense using Machine Learning and AI. Prior to his role at BlackBerry, Ashkan worked at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) where he built RBC's Cyber Analytics program from the ground up as the program’s Director and Chief Data Scientist. During his tenure, Ashkan led the design and development of novel business and technology controls for proactive identification of advanced cyber threats and fraud. Ashkan has ten years of experience in Machine Learning and AI and earned a PhD degree from McMaster University. His dissertation on the impact of Attention on Perception demonstrates how lessons learned from cognitive neuroscience can improve the robustness of AI algorithms in the face of uncertainties in the environment.
Deyves Fonseca is the Sr. Manager, Technology Risk and Cybersecurity at TD Bank Group with over 15 years of experience in the Financial Sector. He is currently leading the strategy, governance and execution of large scale cybersecurity programs across the bank. Prior to TD, Deyves led many Global IT Security and Operations programs for HSBC Group in Canada, France, Mexico and Brazil. Deyves holds a BComm in Information Technology Management from Ryerson University and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
Adina Saposnik is responsible for leading the strategy and program implementation pertaining to the rationalization, standardization, interoperability, scalability and continuous operation of eHealth Ontario’s computing environment. She also has accountability for the Cyber Security portfolio with the mandate to establish and maintain the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected.
A professional engineer (P.Eng), Adina has a broad range of experience gained by serving in leadership roles across the financial, telecommunications and retail sectors. Her credentials include B,Sc.EE from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, EMBA from the Rotman School of Management and certifications in Strategic Leadership (University of Toronto) and project management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
