Stephanie is the Founder of the top-rated economic blog New Economic Perspectives, and a member of the TopWonks network of the nation's best thinkers. In 2016, Politico recognized her as one of the fifty people across the country most influencing the political debate. Kelton was Chief Economist on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee (minority staff) and an advisor to the Bernie2016 presidential campaign. Sarah Kaplan is the Founder and Director of the Institute for Gender and the Economy at Rotman and a Distinguished Professor of Gender and the Economy and Professor of Strategic Management here. Her work as Director of the Institute for Gender and the Economy, otherwise known as GATE, has been covered in the news and internationally published. Sarah has been working intensely with the federal government on tackling the gender wage gap in Canada. Before coming to Rotman, Sarah was a professor at Wharton and a consultant and innovation specialist for nearly a decade at McKinsey & Company in New York. She completed her doctoral research at the Sloan School of Management at MIT. She has a BA with honors in Political Science from UCLA and an MA in International Relations and International Economics with distinction from the School for Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
