Summary: This unique one-day event will bring together experts in data analytics, gender, and diversity, and inclusion more broadly. The GA:P Conference is being planned jointly by two research centers at Rotman: the Institute for Gender and the Economy (GATE) and the TD Management Data and Analytics Lab. The conference is co-organized by Prof. Susan Christoffersen (Co-Academic Director, TDMDAL), Prof. Sarah Kaplan (Director, GATE) and Prof. Matt Mitchell (Co-Academic Director, TDMDAL). The GA:P Conference will have a similar format to the BAD (Behavioural Approaches to Diversity) Conference, held in 2018 – bringing together academic researchers and industry professionals for a dialogue on the future of gender equality in the field of data and analytics. TDMDAL and GATE have curated an exciting list of thought leaders in this space. Invitations to other potential speakers are currently out.

Preliminary Agenda (subject to change):

  • Breakfast and registration (8:00am)
  • Welcome and Opening remarks from GATE and TDMDAL (9:00am sharp)
  • Morning Keynote: TBD
  • Panel 1: Algorithmic Bias
  • Panel 2: HR/Personnel Analytics

  • Afternoon Keynote: TBD
