Why did you decide to study the Master of Financial Risk Management program?
The MFRM program is uniquely designed to make students effective communicators who can articulately convey sophisticated financial topics that require in-depth quantitative knowledge. Moreover, this program also allows us to apply the knowledge gained to real-world finance projects with industry sponsors. These attributes of the MFRM program were paramount for me in deciding to join the program.
What were your top reasons for choosing Rotman?
Rotman allows exposure to the financial industry like no other. Its location, extensive opportunities in seeking mentorship and participating in case competitions was my reason for choosing Rotman apart from the obvious excellence in academia offered.
What are you looking forward to most in the program?
I’m looking forward to start working on the projects that start early next year. Applying what we learn in classrooms to real-time industry projects while completing this degree is very exciting.
What do you expect to gain in your next 10 months at Rotman?
In the next 10 months, I hope to gain more applicable finance skills, hone my python coding skills and also, network with industry professionals to understand the industry better.
