In David Beatty's latest video he gives insight into mandatory corporate board gender quotas and the different perspectives between Europe and North America.

There are 11 countries that have board gender quotas in place.  Most of them are in Europe. According to Catalyst, a global nonprofit that helps organizations accelerate progress for women at work, countries with mandatory quotas have on average nearly double (34%) the number of women on corporate boards than those without quota regulation (18%). Mandatory quotas have been in place in some countries since 2008.
