Scholarship Program Launched for JD/MBA Students at the University of Toronto

Toronto, February 13, 2012 – In recognition of the strength of the University of Toronto’s JD students, the Rotman School of Management is offering guaranteed entrance scholarships of $30,000 per student to the top twenty applicants from the Faculty of Law for the upcoming fall class.

In addition, the Rotman MBA admissions office is waiving the GMAT requirement for any applicants with an LSAT score of 165 and above and who are currently enrolled in first year of the UofT Faculty of Law or have been accepted into the Faculty of Law for a September 2012 start. U of T Law students who have already applied to and been accepted by the Rotman School are also eligible to receive this scholarship.

The JD/MBA Program is a four-year combined degree offered by the Faculty of Law and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. At the completion of the four-year integrated program, the successful student is awarded both the Juris Doctor and the Master of Business Administration degrees, which, if taken separately, would require five years of study.

First year Law students interested in applying to the JD/MBA must submit applications to Rotman by March 1, 2012 to be considered for the guaranteed scholarship. Applications received after this date will still be considered for scholarship from Rotman’s general scholarship pool, but there is no guarantee that additional scholarships will be awarded. The final application deadline is April 30, 2012.
