International Applicant Admissions Criteria

The Rotman Master of Finance program is designed for working finance professionals in the Toronto area who want to study part-time and pursue a career in finance. The course begins in September and takes 20 months to complete. Classes are delivered on Wednesday nights and Saturdays on campus. Long-distance learning is not offered.

If you fulfill the following criteria, please contact us.

  • Two years of work experience in finance or a finance-related field is required 
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 or a mid-B average in the final year of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • If you studied outside of Canada, use the School of Graduate Studies' International Degree Equivalencies site to calculate your GPA
  • GMAT / GRE Score or CFA Level III passed or UFE/CFE passed through the CA designation 
  • The GMAT range for the 2018 class was 560-740. The average score was 650.
  • GRE test code: 0853

Candidates who are writing the CFA level III exam in June may apply for conditional admission.

English Language Proficiency

One of the following:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized English language university
  • TOEFL iBT (internet based test) score of 100 overall, with a minimum of 22 on speaking and writing. TOFEL test code: 0982.
  • IELTS score of 7.0

International Student Fees

Year One (2016-2017): $52,267*

Year Two (2017-2018): $56,437*

Total Tuition Fee: $108,704*

* Costs do not include university incidental fees or compulsory ancillary fees. Please note that all fees are set annually and subject to change.
