Why did you decide to join the Master of Management Analytics program?

As for my professional ambitions, the Master of Financial Risk Management program at the University of Toronto is an ideal fit for me to supplement my expertise in risk management and more valuable opportunities to hone my hands-on skills in applying such expertise in actual cases. The well-designed curriculum will endow me with a wealth of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in addressing various risk issues, enabling me to transfer into my future workplace smoothly. On top of that, a series of workshops and sessions in the Self-Development Lab will help me strengthen my communication, networking, and professional skills by cooperating within groups and receiving prompt feedback from experienced practitioners to improve my personal skills.

Top Reason(s) for choosing Rotman:

Rotman is one of the best business schools in Canada. It provides students with essential support in both academic and career development. The curriculum is well-designed with cutting-edge knowledge. It also provides lots of networking activities for career sourcing as well as student clubs to enrich our lives.

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?

I am looking forward to the industry project most in the program because it is the opportunity given to the students to leverage what they have learned in the academic courses and apply them to the workplace. In addition, I can also use the chance to see if I enjoy this type of job, which helps me discover my future career path.

What do you expect to gain during your time at Rotman?

I hope to gain more cutting-edge skills in the risk management industry, such as using coding to generate big data projects, learning different methods to find risk exposure, and building the mindsets of a risk analyst.
