Industry Partners: Project Support

Whether you are a big company, a startup or a government institution, TD MDAL can connect you with our researchers and graduate students to help you tackle real business issues. Once we form a partnership and identify a problem to solve, the lab will facilitate data and computing needs throughout the project.

Specifically, the TD MDAL can help collect, clean and organize datasets that will be hosted at its computing platform, and ensure proper data privacy and security standards are met. We collaborate with our industry partners on both short- and long-term projects.

Short-term teaching related projects

In our new Master of Management Analytics (MMA) program, student teams will take on real world management analytics problems through a practicum course. The practicum will last throughout the program (9 months), and are supervised by our faculty coach. These projects allow participating organizations to have an in-depth look at an important management issue with students leveraging current analytical tools to try to solve the problem. Many of the projects may turn into valuable long-term research topics.

Long-term research projects

These projects mainly involve PhD students and faculty members as they tackle a fundamental research question using data from our partner organization. The project may last several years, but final results will be high quality business insights and publishable research papers.
