Clarkson Centre - PricewaterhouseCoopers 2009 Directors Survey in collaboration with the Institute of Corporate Directors

Split CEO/Chair Roles: The Gateway to Good Governance?

Elite Director Case Study: Peter Godsoe and Dual Class

Canada’s Corporate Elite: The Gatekeepers of Good Governance

Of the nearly 1700 Directors on the S&P/TSX Composite Index, a small group of individuals sit on five or more boards. The companies represented by these Elite Directors have thus come to form a network which has raised governance practices standards for the rest of the Composite. Drawing on three years of CCBE’s governance research, this presentation shows that the Corporate Elite are a positive driving force in Canadian corporate governance.
