To harness the power of design thinking in business, Designworks operates as our centre for design-based innovation and education, with a focus on strategy and Business Design. As an important component of the overall Integrative Thinking program at Rotman, Designworks is an academic and commercial ‘learning lab’ that fosters multi-disciplinary collaboration within the school, the broader University of Toronto network and partners locally and internationally.  

We offer number of opportunities for students and industry to tap into  Business Design at Rotman including:

Student Programs

  • Practicum Projects – MBA-based student projects that provide sponsoring corporations with a fresh  perspective on innovative and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Summer Fellowship Projects - Commissioned in-depth projects which provide students with a full-time apprenticeship and clients with strategies and plans for innovation and growth.

  • Executive Workshops - Fully customized learning programs to enhance a company's innovation and business design capabilities.
